MAJ MICHAEL F. SHEEHAN

55TH SIGNAL COMPANY COMMANDER

Major Michael F. Sheehan was born and raised in Winchester, MA. He graduated from the United States Military Academy and was commissioned into the Infantry Branch in 2010. He completed a branch transfer into the Public Affairs Branch in 2021.Major Sheehan was first assigned to 2-3 Infantry, 3rd Brigade, 2nd.Infantry Division, where he served as a Platoon Leader from 2011to 2013. Following this assignment, Major Sheehan served in the75th Regimental Special Troops Battalion as the BN Assistant S4 and a Company Operations Officer until 2015. After completing the Maneuver Captain’s Career Course, Major Sheehan served in 4-31 Infantry, 2nd Brigade, 10th Mountain. Division as a Heavy Weapons Company Commander from 2016 to 2018. Major Sheehan moved on from
Fort Drum to the United States Military Academy at West Point, where he served as a Company Tactical Officer from 2019 to 2022.Major Sheehan’s military education includes the Infantry Basic Officer’s Leadership Course, Airborne School, Jumpmaster School, Ranger School, the Maneuver Captain’s Career Course, and the Command and General Staff College.
